Abide Christian Fellowship is a fellowship at Stanford of both graduates and undergraduates that take the Bible seriously. We meet every week to study the Bible, have fun, talk about life, and build lasting friendships. Whether you're a Christian who wants to grow in your faith, or someone simply curious about what Christianity is all about, we invite you to come check us out!
We seek refuge from all the stresses and pulls of Stanford in Jesus. We aim to dwell in our relationship with Christ and to be renewed daily.
We meet every week to study God's word through teaching and group discussions. Before every Bible study, we eat and laugh together and the fellowship continues after!
Just as the early disciples of Jesus made prayer a very important part of their daily lives, we also strive to prioritize prayer in our lives too.

Jayson | Symbolic Systems
I like eating new foods and thrifting old clothes. On campus, you’ll most often find me stuffing myself at Branner Dining or daydreaming in a Gates study room well past my bedtime. Nevertheless, I’m blessed to say that my spiritual home at Stanford has always been Abide. It’s tough to fathom all the little ways in which the people here have shown their love for me. Their example and guidance have truly helped me keep Jesus at the center of my busy college life!
Aaron | Human Biology
In my free time, I enjoy playing the clarinet, hiking, and going to the movies! I also listen to all kinds of music (J-pop, K-pop, RnB, classical, you name it!) and love sharing music recommendations with people. Since my freshman year, Abide has played a huge role in helping me grow spiritually amidst the business of college life. I feel very blessed to be a part of this supportive and tight-knit community, where we openly listen, pray for one another, and have fellowship together!
Samuel | Biology
I love spending time outdoors, losing myself in a good book, and eating fruit cakes that are not too sweet. You can find me taking a stroll around Lake Lag or living in the corners of Green Library. At Abide fellowship, I found a community. Every member is so invested in one another and purposeful in guiding one another’s spiritual journey in Christ. Friday fellowships days have turned into something I look forward to every week!
Terry | Music
I like to take long walks and while the time, enjoying life free from the hustle and bustle. Finding joy in small things, I slow down to admire God's handiwork around me and in all the facets of my life. Thinking about Abide, all the people here have blessed me immensely in my college and faith journey. Whether it's through fellowship and food, poring through scripture, or celebrating the end of a long week, we're a big family—growing, learning, and serving one another!
Bob & Diana | Abide Directors
Hi! We're Bob and Diana, Directors of Abide at Stanford. We’d love to meet you in fellowship and help each other grow to know Jesus Christ more! We're both Stanford Bioengineering PhD alums and being part of Abide was a large part of our spiritual growth at Stanford. We believe that college campus Christian groups are unique places where young adults can examine the purpose of their life and discover and practice how to live out its meaning. We believe that the world has always been a challenging, turbulent place to live, but that Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection offer redemption for the world’s brokenness and a template for a life full of loving others, true community, and ultimately light in the darkness.
This year, we’ll be covering topics in Bible study such as: Abiding in Christ, Abiding through trials, Is there more to life than this?, How can I have Faith?, Why and how should I pray?, Why and how do I read the Bible?... and much more!
